There are 50 academic majors, including architecture and a full slate of engineering degrees (chemical, civil, electrical and mechanical). The recently renovated and expanded Westerman Hall is now one of the best STEM facilities of any small college in America. 2. Located in the Central United States Benedictine College is located on the bluffs above the Missouri River in the historic town of Atchison, Kansas. Being in the geographic center of the United States and close to Kansas City International Airport, the rest of the country is easily accessible. Small town Kansas is quiet and restful, but Kansas City is just 30 minutes from campus and is home to a vibrant arts community, professional sports teams, and numerous shopping, dining, and entertainment venues.
